Kraft to Issue $3 Billion of Notes and General Mills to Web Cast Two Analyst Presentatio

City of Industry, CA --(www.USEquityNews.com)-- 12/13/2007 - Consumer Goods industry alert provided by U.S. Equity News. Food and beverage company Kraft Foods Inc. (NYSE: KFT) said in a regulatory filing recently it expects to issue $3 billion of notes under an indenture from 2001 with the Bank of New York. The notes include $2 billion of 6.125 percent notes due in 2018 and $1 billion of 6.875 percent notes due in 2038, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Interest on the notes is payable on Feb. 1 and Aug. 1, beginning Aug. 1, 2008, to record holders on the preceding Jan. 15 or July 15.


PepsiCo (NYSE: PEP) recently announced the appointment of Dr. Mehmood Khan to the newly-created position of chief scientific officer, reporting to Indra Nooyi, chairman and chief executive officer. General Mills (NYSE: GIS) will web cast its investor briefing on second-quarter fiscal 2008 results Wednesday, December 19, 2007. This event will be web cast live beginning at 8:30 a.m. EST.
