TV station owner Nexstar Broadcasting Group Inc. (NASDAQ: NXST) said recenty it expects revenue for the first three months of this year to increase between 2.3 percent and 4.7 percent over the year-earlier period. Such an increase would result in first-quarter revenue between $63.5 million and $65 million, compared to 2007 first-quarter revenue of $62.1 million. The company forecast record free cash flow and record earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization in 2008.

EPIC Corporation (OTC: EPIO) announced that it has entered into an agreement to purchase a television station in Northern California. EPIC's objective is to have a direct satellite link to market its original sports and entertainment programming potentially reaching over 4,000 independent stations nationwide that have a market for original and affordable programming. The company has received its booking, management and managers license for boxing and martial arts events.
