Glenn Haygood has been named president and general manager of WLKY-TV, the Hearst- Argyle Television (NYSE: HTV) CBS affiliate serving the Louisville, Kentucky, TV market. The appointment, effective March 17, was announced by David J. Barrett, president and chief executive officer of Hearst-Argyle Television, Inc. Haygood succeeds James J. Carter, who has been named president and general manager of WESH-TV and WKCF-TV, the Hearst-Argyle Television NBC and CW affiliates, respectively, serving the Orlando-Daytona-Melbourne, Florida, TV market.
Retro Television Network (RTN), which is owned and distributed by Equity Media Holdings Corporation (NASDAQ: EMDA), announced recently that it will partner with Four Points Media Group to add RTN affiliates in Austin, TX, Utah, and West Palm Beach, FL. The new affiliates will launch this year in Austin on a digital stream of KEYE-TV, in Utah on analog station KUSG and in West Palm Beach on a digital stream of WTVX. ``We are delighted to be launching RTN in three of our markets,'' said Dick Reingold, Executive Director of Four Points Media Group.
