Fronteer Discovers New High-Grade Gold Zone at Long Canyon, Nevada and General Moly Enters into Land Lease with Eureka County and Initiates Construction on Employee Housing Annex

("Fronteer" or the "Company") (AMEX: FRG) is pleased to announce the discovery of a new zone of high-grade gold mineralization at its Long Canyon Project in Nevada. Results from Long Canyon's 2008 work program confirm the presence of a parallel zone of mineralization, referred to as the Shadow Zone, located approximately 200 metres to the northwest of the previously reported main mineralized zone. Drill results from the new Shadow Zone have returned 7.74 grams per tonne gold (0.226 oz/ton) over 22.9 metres (75 feet), including 12.44 g/t (0.363 oz/ton) over 12.2 m (40 feet) in hole LC092. Gold mineralization has been intersected in multiple, parallel zones over a strike length of more than 1,200 metres (3,900 feet) and remains open in all directions.



Massey Energy Company (NYSE: MEE) announced recently the determination of the total consideration offered pursuant to its previously announced cash tender offer and consent solicitation for any and all of its 6.625% senior notes due 2010 (the "6.625% Notes"). Massey also announced recently that holders of approximately $311.5 million aggregate principal amount of the outstanding $335 million aggregate principal amount of the 6.625% Notes, representing approximately 93% of the outstanding 6.625% Notes, had tendered their 6.625% Notes and delivered the related consents on or prior to the consent payment deadline of 5:00 p.m. New York City time on August 18, 2008 (the "Consent Payment Deadline"), pursuant to the tender offer and consent solicitation. The tender offer and consent solicitation relating to the 6.625% Notes are being made upon the terms and conditions set forth in the Offer to Purchase and Consent Solicitation Statement dated August 5, 2008 (the "Offer to Purchase") and the related Consent and Letter of Transmittal.

General Moly Inc. (AMEX: GMO) announced that it has entered into an agreement with the County of Eureka, Nevada to lease 164 acres of land, known as the Eureka Canyon Subdivision, for five years for the purpose of constructing a temporary construction campsite and ultimately a long-term employee housing neighborhood. After entering into the lease agreement, General Moly mobilized AMES Construction Inc. to begin initial ground-work on a construction camp that is expected to house a large portion of Mt. Hope's construction labor force. Ground was broken at a ceremony on August 18th, 2008. Under the terms of the lease agreement, General Moly, through AMES Construction, will develop the basic neighborhood infrastructure, including roads, electrical and water distribution facilities, while a private developer is expected to develop housing units once the infrastructure is complete.

Strongbow Resources, Inc. (OTCBB: STBR), a uranium exploration and development company, through its CEO Darren Hayes, recently announced that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Holloman Minerals, Ltd. of Perth, Australia to Farm-in up to 98% of seven (7) exploration license areas in the Frome Embayment near Lake Callabonna in South Australia covering an area of approximately 3,792 square kilometers (937,000 acres) known as the Cameron's Corner Palaeochannel Project (CCP Project). All of these areas are considered to be prospective for uranium and will form the basis for exploration activities. The Company's initial focus will be to explore the CCP Project Area by stages. The first stage will be an airborne electromagnetic survey to map channels and structure throughout the region with infill in the areas where channels or structure are indicated from previous work.
